This Wednesday, August 26th, is National Dog Day, which means it’s time to do something special for our favorite 4-legged family members. We love taking our dogs to the beach to have fun in the sand, so we found some great places for you to take yours!
Fort De Soto Paw Playground and Beach
If you are looking for a beach a little larger, take a look at the Fort De Soto Dog beach. Your dog is allowed anywhere on the beach, just make sure you bring a leash for them. The Paw Playground is a lovely fenced off area so you can let your dog roam free. On those especially hot days, take your dog to the shower to cool them off. Don’t forget to bring your umbrella when you go, because there is little shade on the beach.
Davis Island Park and Beach
When you take your dog to David Island, they are able to have fun in a variety of ways. Davis Island features multiple play areas, all off-leash allowing them to run and play as they want. The sand at the beach is known to be a bit rough, so don’t forget your water shoes!
Picnic Island Beach
Picnic Island Beach is a great place to bring the whole family, including the dog, to enjoy the water. This beach allows dogs to play off leash and run around like anyone else. Be careful when you take your 4 legged friend there, it is not a fenced in park. There is plenty of shade around the beach to keep your dog cool after it finishes running around in the sun.
Sereno Dog Park
When we at Metro Development Group designed Sereno, we thought about all of our residents. The off-leash Dog Park has been designed for your loyal and obedient friends as the place to let them run wild. Lots of shade and places to keep them hydrated on those hot days.
When it comes to your dog, treat them right this Wednesday and give them a great day out in the sun. No matter where you go, enjoy the time with your dog, and don’t forget to share your fun with us on our Facebook page!
